How to Beat the Heat in Scottsdale in the Summer!

It can be so tempting to plan a jam-packed Bach weekend full of activities but don’t forget to prioritize staying cool. We’ve listed a few of our favorite pro-tips as Native Zonies that help us (and you) get through the summer heatwave.

Recharge with The Balanced Bachelorette:

What better way to beat the heat than with indoor customized Yoga! Flowing with your babes on your bach weekend can be a fun way to bring friends closer together and take a break from the outdoor festivities. Whether your party is just getting started or you’re hoping to relax after a long night out, we will guide you through a customized indoor yoga class for your hangover or lack thereof.

Make reservations to sit inside

Since Scottsdale has become the new destination for Bachelorette/Bachelor weekends, reservations are a must with big parties. If you want to beat the heat and enjoy your dining experience in the AC, make sure to call in advance to request a table inside. A few of our favorite indoor spots are Toca Madera, Maple & Ash, and Second Story Restaurant & Liquor Bar.

Bring the party to you

Stay out of the heat by bringing some fun indoor activities right into your AirBnB! We recommend Cocktail UAZ for fun, interactive mixology classes. Hire a private chef to cook Brunch for you while you play Bachelorette party games. Or if you partied too hard the night before check out a mobile IV service, RegenerateIV.

Stay Hydrated and wear sunscreen

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, inside & out! The heat can really sneak up on you, especially if alcohol is involved. Start by drinking more water than you think you should! Pro tip: A hat + sunblock will be your new best friend (Nobody wants to be the bride with a bright red forehead).

Get an Airbnb with a pool

If soaking up the Arizona sun is a must on your list, we highly recommend laying poolside. With the summer temps heating up to over 100 degrees, a refreshing dip in the pool might be exactly what you need to keep you cool.

Include Downtime in the Itinerary:

The best way to make sure you fit it all in is by scheduling it. Don’t forget to include in your itinerary, a morning to sleep in or an early night in, plenty of recovery time after any outdoor activities, and time for a snack, nap, and shower in order to look and feel refreshed!
